Challenge
Amber wasn’t a blank slate, it was a legacy platform in need of stabilization, refinement, and new features. One of the first hurdles was improving and understanding the existing system architecture before any meaningful improvements could be made. Stability issues persisted, particularly around electronic contract signing and outdated keyword-based search.
Solution
To address these challenges, we focused on replacing components and improving the app structure. We integrated DocuSign to ensure reliable, secure handling of electronic agreements eliminating recurring workflow failures. On the discovery side, we implemented vector search, enabling users to find relevant businesses through meaning-driven queries rather than keyword matches. Alongside these upgrades, we refined the platform’s internal structure to support smoother development and maintainability.
Results
Amber now delivers a more stable, intelligent, and user-friendly experience for buyers and sellers of businesses. Electronic agreements are processed reliably, and the new semantic search helps users find opportunities faster and more accurately. The platform is easier to maintain and extend, setting the stage for future growth with new features rolling out smoothly and confidently.
